Summary

Sparc is enhancing job descriptions so they are interesting, credible and effective.  Candidates don’t want to read paragraphs of text in a job posting.  We use short, employee-generated videos of the hiring manager and co-workers to put a human face on the job and make it come to life.  It’s powerful.  

Sparc combines the power of video, social media and mobile technology to update the traditional job posting.

When you provide candidates with information that is relevant, compelling and credible, recruiting is more effective and results in better hires.

  • Job data comes straight from iCIMS and finished Sparcs are integrated in iCIMS career portal
  • A Sparc is a video job posting that is meant to be shared through social media
  • Generates 8x more clicks than traditional job descriptions
  • Customers create their own video content. Administrators can generate a "script/guidelines" of sorts and send invitations out to Hiring managers to record their own video.
    • In general, the videos are more effective when unscripted
    • Actually, professionally produced videos are NOT ALLOWED
  • Would be something with a new instance for each client that wants to use it, rather than a technology used internally across all clients
  • Can record 1-3 videos per Sparc (HM plus two co-workers). Can all be done very quickly. Someone is set as the approver and can send a video back to someone to re-record.
  • Cost
    • 100 Sparcs @ 249 each (minimum package)
    • 500 Sparcs @149 each
    • All Sparcs last 30 days
    • All Packages are good for 12 months
  • Dashboard and Reports to show effectiveness
  • They want to create a partnership with us with commission for referrals

AP Additions:


Our clients would integrate this technology within their organization. Client would get a Sparc account, recruiters can log in, and create a Sparc (Can create from scratch OR can integrate with the ATS'. Less than 2 min to create a Sparc). The application link is entered at the end of the Sparc.


The Sparc is shared via a unique URL that gets shared on social media posts. A "mini Sparc" can be used within the ATS posting, however, is not as common/impactful.


Sparc includes videos of the HM and 2 coworkers, top 3 reasons, work environment, and JD.

Videos created on phones/tablets/laptops. The HM gets an email with a link that launches the request for video (includes guidelines on what to include in video)

  • Getting video responses
    • 9 min at fastest
    • Difficult to get the HM's to make the videos, however, once they start to see it being used adoption is better
    • Pilot - first videos are tough
    • On site recruiters may be helpful in person to get the HMs on board
