Carrier Workday Offer Letters Issues and Follow-Up
Beginning 9/3/2021, ALL OFFERS MUST HAVE THIS LANGUAGE INSERTED as last bullet point in “TAKE ACTION” section of offer letter:

Check location in requisition vs where the candidate will work
If offer acceptance and the candidate will work from a state different than the state where the requisition was posted, please send an email to peopleservices.US@carrier.com, using the below template: “Kindly note that candidate (Name – Last Name), selected for requisition (Req Number), will be hired from (State of the Candidate) instead of from (State where requisition as originally posted).”

Internal Hires – Can only start on the 1st and 16th

Verify the start date is not a Carrier holiday
If requested earlier, HR must get approval from Carlos Morgan, Carrier TA.

Climate Controls and Security is still all through the letter. Find every instance and replace it with Carrier. There are about 4 instances.
Hiring a manager is often incorrect.
Remove the line “You will report to… OR
Change to the appropriate manager
If there is a Sign-on bonus - Offer letter populates with “will be paid within 60 days”
Needs to be changed to 30 days
If Annual bonus, when selecting Annual Bonus for the bonus program, the Offer Letter populates with the Aerospace Variable Plan
You will be eligible to participate in Carrier’s Annual Bonus Plan, which provides the opportunity for an annual bonus of up to xx% of your annual salary. Eligibility for, participation in, and the amount of any bonus is subject to both Company and individual performance and the terms and conditions of Carrier’s Annual Bonus Plan.
If asked to pro-rate the Bonus Plan add this verbiage after the final sentence: Participation in the plan will be pro-rated based on your hire date.
If other Incentive plans (SIP, etc), please get correct language from HRBP for the offer letter.
If Relocation is offered:
Please verify the correct policy is being offered. There is NO EXCEPTION. Please escalate to your ROM if the HRBP or HM is asking for something outside of these guidelines:

You will be eligible to participate in Carrier’s Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP), beginning in 2022 if your hire date is on or prior to April 1, 2022. This plan is designed to provide the opportunity for financial awards to key employees whose efforts and achievements contribute to the long term success of the company. LTI awards are typically granted annually in February of each year. Awards may be delivered as Stock Appreciation Rights (SARs), Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), or Performance Share Units (PSUs) and typically vest three years from the grant date. Award timing and design is subject to approval by the Compensation Committee of the Carrier Board of Directors.

In compliance with Section 195.1, the Wage Theft Prevention Act of the New York State Labor Law, this serves to inform you that you will receive your first Payroll Check/Direct Deposit on DD/MM/YYYY, given a start date of DD/MM/YYYY. Thereafter you will receive your Payroll Check/Direct Deposit on a semimonthly basis on the last workday closest to the 15th and the last workday day of each month. You can review your semi-monthly payroll statement through myCarrier on the payment date. Signing this offer letter constitutes acknowledgment per Section 195.1 and the New York State Wage Theft Prevention Act.

Appropriate Benefits Summary
Most common; almost all BU’s will fall into this bucket and should use this version.
Lenel, Supra, Onity, MasterMind and GE Security in FSP(Fire & Security) and Riello in CHVAC should receive the NON-CRC version. Job titles & location codes in WD typically highlight if it is one of these groups

Click on Candidate’s name within the Req - Offer - Attachments - Signed Offer Letter will be on the far right
Download Offer Letter
Save as “Signed Workday Offer Letter First Name Last Name”
Check to ensure Candidate has entered SSN and DOB – IF NOT, do not proceed until CN has completed
Click on Candidates name with the Req - need to see in the workflow:
Update National ID (this is SSN)
Update EEO/Personal Information (this is DOB)
Send Signed Offer Letter to the following distribution:
HRBP
Hiring Manager
ROM
Move candidate forward to Background Check
Select Professional Check -do not miss this step! This step creates the ticket for GPS to initiate the Background Check
If HM is outside of the US, the background check will not be launched. Please send an email to HRconnect@Carrier.com, requesting the background check be launched, and provide WD#, candidate name, and hire date.
Move candidate to Ready to Hire
Do not need to wait for the background check to be complete.
Immediately indicate “Pending” for Review status
Move status to Ready to Hire.
Workday
Disposition all active candidates
Unpost the job
Avature
Disposition all active candidates
CN step must be Offer Accepted or Background Check Initiated until date of Hire.
At Date of Hire, move candidate to Hired in Avature, and move req to Closed (filled).
If the Workday Req has more openings than fills, the req will not show as “Filled”
Please email peopleservices.us@carrier.com and request the remaining openings be removed
If Candidate declines after acceptance
You must have the candidate moved back from Completion to Background Check
Please send the appropriate template included in Offer Declines After Accepting and Carrier Rescinds.docx
MUST BE FROM YOUR CARRIER EMAIL – Does not create a ticket if from your Wilson email
Once notified, please disposition the candidate in Workday.
If the position will be re-filled, the position will become available once the CN is dispositioned.
If the position should be closed, please action appropriately.
