Background Check for External Candidates in Workday
After selecting the appropriate package, select the Submit
Refresh your inbox to receive the next prompt\step
In the Status field, select Pending.
Then select the Submit icon
Next, refresh your Workday Inbox
You can select the small v, which will present the option to select Refresh.
Alternatively you can press F5 to reload the whole page.
Sometimes it can take a couple of minutes for next steps to appear.
After the inbox is refreshed, prompt should appear to set the candidate to final stages.
Select the Ready for Hire icon
Though their background check has just been initiated, we will be setting the candidate to Ready for Hire. This creates a ticket for HR to be able to review their background.
If you have a position that reports to a non-US manager, when you push them to the background if you can also send an email to peopleservices.us@carrier.com stating the candidate name and req number and that they were pushed to BG but have a non-US manager, we can then go find the case and put it in the US queue. Our case management system is global and cases route to the country of the hiring manager, not the position.
