Create a Counter Offer in Workday
Counter Offer function in Workday does not necessitate offer negotiations in order to utilize. This function could also be used if you had an error in the offer letter that needs correction (such as the start date).
In the main requisition page, go to the Candidates tab.
Select the candidate profile
Select Actions icon
Select Job Application
Select Move Candidate
On the next screen, select Move Forward
Select Counter Offer
At this point a notification will appear in the top of your Workday saying 1 Alert. This is because you are taking away the ability of the candidate to sign that version of the offer letter. You can ignore this notification.
Click the OK icon
Proceed to your Workday Inbox to complete the next steps.
The offer details are now visible for edit
Any changes made, will be reflected in Workday to show what was updated as can be seen in the Hire Date field.
Once completed with the changes, select the Submit icon.
Inside your Workday Inbox, you will now receive a new icon to select Refresh.
Select Set Offer and Employment Agreement Status icon.
Even if the offer has not been verbally extended\accepted, we need to follow these steps to get to the offer letter.
On this screen, we will select the status Verbal Offer Extended.
After selecting the Verbal Offer Extended, you will be brought to the following screen.
Select the Submit icon.
This is a confirmation that you have completed\selected the correct status.
Inside your Workday Inbox, you will now receive a new icon to select Refresh.
Select Set Offer and Employment Agreement Status icon.
After selecting the Verbal Offer Accepted, you will be brought to the following screen.
After selecting the Verbal Offer Accepted, you will be brought to the following screen.
Select the Submit icon.
This is a confirmation that you have completed\selected the correct status.
You will not receive a prompt to complete the next step.
You can select the small v, which will present the option to select Refresh.
Alternatively, you can press F5 to reload the whole page.
