Google Hire ATS

Summary

Customize your hiring process

  • Create unique hiring stages that match the needs of open positions—from coding tests for engineering jobs to onsite presentations for sales jobs. You can build the unique process requirements for each role.
  • Plus, you can customize your interview feedback scale with a rating system that’s familiar to your team. For example: from -2 to +2 or A to F.

Optimize for Google Search and post to job boards

  • Millions of job seekers start their search on Google every day. And with Hire, you get a career site that’s optimized for Google Search.
  • Your jobs can also post to major job boards—like Indeed or Glassdoor—and to specialized ones too. Hire tracks the efficacy of each source, so you can make the most of your marketing spend.

Enrich profiles with Google Search

  • Google Search provides more background on a candidate by automatically surfacing links to their profiles from sites like LinkedIn®, GitHub, Behance, Stack Overflow, US Patent Database, and others.

Stay aligned

  • Group candidates in a collection and easily share with your hiring manager for quick feedback.
  • Chitchat with your teammates about candidates on their profiles and draw immediate attention to a candidate by @mentioning in a comment.

Scheduling is simple

  • See all interviewers’ schedules side by side. It only takes seconds to drag and drop interviews into available slots, adjust their duration, and select a free room.
  • Every interview is synced to Google Calendar, and context-rich calendar invites are sent to the interviewer and the candidate. RSVPs are visible at a glance.

More feedback, less chasing

  • Submit feedback from any device without logging in to the Hire app. And whether you’re taking notes or entering feedback, you’ll be able to see the candidate’s resume and job description on screen. Interviewers see teammates’ feedback only after they’ve submitted their own, which helps avoid groupthink and bias.

12.18.2017 Call Notes

  • Candidate workflow statuses:
    • Can we configure our own custom process?
      • Absolutely. You can customize the hiring stages per job, and even create templates so you don’t have to recreate the wheel each time.
    • Can the process be different for different groups of people or different reqs? Need to see how workflow is entered.
      • Different reqs is how we manage different processes.
    • Any process automation capabilities (moving candidates through workflow steps based on rules, etc…)?
      • Not yet today, but these are the intelligence things we are thinking of in the future.
    • Can you report on timestamp actions?
      • Not yet. This will be something we work into reporting V2 next year.
  • Multi-tenancy:
    • I know we are holding on to this possibility for the future and it’s unlikely ready now, but is there any semblance of this concept today? Think about a corporation that has multiple legal entities with vastly different recruiting processes. Would there be an ability to sort of separate reqs and candidates from each entity, forcing users to choose an entity before logging in?
      • We are limited by being a g-suite add on in this sense. So, you can set permissions for who can view what jobs, but since we tie Hire to a g-suite domain, the only way for true separation of entities would be with different parent domains.
      • Job is the top most hierarchy - hiring team is chosen at req creation
  • Process:
    • Are we able to submitting candidates to hiring managers through the system?
      • We think about this differently than submitting for ownership. It’s easy enough to @mention a hiring manager to make them aware of a candidate, then we push out an email automatically to that hiring manager.
    • Can we submit candidates to those outside of our org.?
      • To see anything in Hire, users would need an @hcg email.
    • For candidates that don’t complete applications, does the system automatically follow-up those applicants?
      • It doesn’t no, but because we keep our application short and thoughtful, the drop off percentage is incredibly low. No account creation needed, we supplement information on their profile automatically so you don’t have to request it.
      • CoreOS uses google Hire as an example application
  • Customization:
    • Can we add fields to the various screens?
      • Not yet, but this is a 2018 project.
      •  Forecast:
        • No required fields
        • No field level restrictions
        • Ability to add custom fields to candidate profile
    • Can we make fields visible to some people and not others?
      • We restrict access to certain things based on their role in the system yes.
    • Can we make certain fields required for some people and not others?
      • We don’t have the framework of a required field.
    • Are candidate screeners and/or intakes integrated in the tool? If so, are we fully able to customize for specific roles?
      • Interview kit is on the roadmap
      • Recommendation:
        • Copy/paste into feedback, or attach doc or link
        • Anything tagged as an offer letter is only avail to the HM
  • Integration
    • Any LinkedIn Integration (specifically to parse LinkedIn candidates easily into Hire)?
      • Ability to drag/drop profiles through pdf
    • Does Hire integrate with other recruitment tools (ie. Calendly, TextRecruit)?
      • Google Appointment slots
      • No external integrations
    • To what extent does Hire integrate with job boards (such as Indeed, Glassdoor, etc.)?
      • Native integrations with glassdoor, indeed, your website, and the new google for jobs feature in google search!
      • Career website is prioritized in Google Jobs to help save on postings
  • Additional Features:
    • Can candidates be added in bulk?
      • Yep! Simple drag and drop of resumes, and we will parse them out automatically for you.
    • Satisfaction surveys?
      • For candidates, this is something I’d use a google form for. In our projects for increased google tool integrations this is something we are considering.
    • Assessments?
      • Can build links into templates from third-parties, etc. OR Google Form
    • External Search Capabilities (to source candidates)?
      • Not yet. Possible in the future.
    • Is all of the data available in an API (specifically for bulk data calls)?
      • No open API in current state - this is on the 2018 list
    • Can we text people through the system?
      • Not yet, but telephony integration, (Click to call) is on the docket for Q1.
  • What other companies has Hire launched with?
    • At this time we have roughly 600 customers
  • What steps is Google putting in place to be GDPR compliant?
    • We have committed that all of Google’s products, including Hire with GDPR compliant by the time it’s required, which I believe is in May. Hire falls under all the same details for policies and privacy as G-Suite.
  • Recommendations to clients - Do you have any marketing material or 1-pagers that we can keep on hand?
    • Let me chat with marketing and see, I’m sure we do.
  • Pricing
