How it all started

Back in 2012 the founder, Kaspars Upmanis, needed a solution to manage his digital agency's employee details - who's off, when, etc.

Born out of a simple solution, they started to build more features and eventually decided to release "Cake" as a stand-alone product. And that's when the real growth started.

Bootstrapped from beginning, CakeHR has been growing steadily with a mission to be the world's best HR software for small & medium businesses.


Where we are now

In 2013, Norberts Erts joined Kaspars as Co-Founder of CakeHR and headed up the militant marketing department and Lee Chapman joined later in 2015, quickly becoming a CakeHR shareholder and head of happiness to our clients.

With constant communication and feedback with our clients, we developed the application with our customers in the forefront of our mind and work tirelessly with our awesome team of developers, improving features week by week and launching brand new features that make CakeHR a perfect investment for companies of any size.
